Odette Block of the Week 
-Week 7-

Welcome to Week 7 of the Odette Quilt Block of the Week!

Here are the scheduled posts in this series.  If they have already been posted, they have links to them. If there are no links, that means they have posted yet.

This week we are working on Blocks 13 and 14.  Let's go!



Odette Block 13


From the Yellow, cut:
     -8- 2 1/2” squares

From the Gray 1, cut:
     -8- 2 1/2” squares

From the Navy, cut:
     -4- 2 1/2” squares

From the Gray 2, cut:
     -8- 3” squares

From the White Background, cut:
     -8- 3” squares

1.  Use 8- 3” white and 8- 3” gray 2 squares to make two at a time HST.  Trim each HST to 2 1/2” square.  You will end up with 16 HST total.

                                 Make 16 HSTs, 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", including the seam allowance

2.  Lay the block pieces out as shown in the block picture below and sew the block together.


Make 1 block, 12 1/2" x 12 1/2", including the seam allowance

Odette Block 14



From the Gray, cut:
     -2- 5” squares
     -1- 4 1/2” squares

From the Navy, cut:
     -4- 4 1/2” squares

From the White Background, cut:
     -2- 5” squares


1.  Use 2- 5” white and 2- 5” gray squares to make two at a time HST.  Trim each HST to 4 1/2” square.  You will end up with 4 HST total.

                                 Make 4 HSTs, 4 1/2" x 4 1/2", including the seam allowance


2.  Lay the block pieces out as shown in the block picture below and sew the block together.

Make 1 block, 12 1/2" x 12 1/2", including the seam allowance


I didn't get to make my blocks yet but I'll post them here as soon as they are completed.
