For Week 1, we will be choosing fabric/ordering/pulling fabric from our stash.  Its a fun and easy week!  I love planning the fabric that I am going to use for a new project!

For this QAL, I did decide on my fabric.  I am going to be using the following-

  • Riley Blake Designs Harry & Alice Go to the Sea Rolie Polie (which contains 40- 2.5" x WOF strips)
  • Confetti Cottons Latte (C120-Latte) for my Background fabric
  • Then I've added in some of the Riley Blake Basics that coordinate with the Harry & Alice Go to the Sea line just for fun!  I'm using the following-
-Kisses Tone on Tone Redwood (C210-Redwood)
-Kisses Tone on Tone Navy (C210-Navy)
-Kisses Tone on Tone Denim (C210-Denim)
                                         -Shades Nighttime (C200-33)
                                         -Confetti Cottons Redwood (C120-Redwood)
                                         -Confetti Cottons Riley Navy (C120-RileyNavy)
                                         -Confetti Cottons Denim (C120-Denim)
                                         -Confetti Cottons Blueberry (C120-Blueberry)
                                         -Blossoms Barn Red (C715-Barnred)
                                         -Crayola Kaleidoscope Navy Niblet (CR480-NavyNiblet)
  • For Border 1 (the inner colored border) I am using the fabric shown in the quilt images above which is Harry and Alice Go to the Sea C8473 Red Small Floral
  • For Border 2 (the outer colored border) I am using the fabric shown in the quilt images above which is Harry and Alice Go to the Sea C8475 Navy Dots

  1. What are the coordinating fabrics for? How much of each is there? And are they just being cut as 2.5inches by WOF to serve as additional jelly roll strips?

    1. I am just adding them in to give more variety to the jelly roll. They are not necessary in any way. And, yes, I got 1/4 yards and I am just going to cut 1 or 2- 2.5" x WOF strips and cut per the pattern as a jelly roll.
