Riley Blake Designs Blog Tour- Strawberry Jam and The Honey Quilt

Hi, Everyone!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Blog Tour for Strawberry Jam by Lauren Brewer Designs.

I loved this beautiful fabric when I saw it online but it is even prettier in person!!  I love the range of colors and each of the designs are beautiful.

I wanted a simple design where the prints could stand out and I came up with this!

My new quilt pattern called the Honey Quilt!

The Honey Quilt measures 72 3/8" x 72 3/8".  It is fast and fun and shows off prints really well!

I gave this pretty quilt some extra TLC and did a combination of hand quilting and machine quilting. I love how it make the 'X's' stand out and the back is SO pretty too!

I used wool batting on this one.  The wool makes it extra puffy and the stitches stand out really nicely because of it.

You can find the PDF of this pattern HERE

I'm so thrilled with the results!

If you make one, I'd love to see- share it on Instagram by tagging me @jessicadayon and using the hashtags #jessicadayonpatterns and #thehoneyquilt

Talk to you soon,

Jessica

  3. Hi! I'm just about to start cutting for this! Question... It looks like you did something different around the edge of the quilt? Like a solid strip of background fabric after the setting triangles?

    1. Yes, you are right! I ended up adding a 2" (finished) border around the quilt.
