Free Pattern: White Pumpkins Quilt
Last year I released my White Pumpkins quilt pattern and now I'm re-releasing it for FREE! I love white pumpkins. Each fall I use white pumpkins to make pumpkin pie and I just adore them. I usually grow them in my garden but on years when they don't cooperate, I just buy some white pumpkins at a local farm. We roasted them and make pie. My favorite variety is Flat White Boer Ford pumpkins. And, although not white, I love Long Island Cheese pumpkins too. The original recipe came from my husband's grandmother and I have modified it to be what it is now...which is the most delicious pumpkin pie ever :) That was my inspiration for this quilt.
This quilt has been a favorite to use last fall and this fall so far. To make the top, I used Moda Fabrics Cross Weave (the gray color) and Robert Kaufman Essex Linen (in White). For the backing, I used Robert Kaufman Mammoth Flannel, which is the coziest flannel!!
I also make one block from the pattern and turn it into a pillow. I backed it in the same Mammoth Flannel as the quilt.

Jessica, thank you for this gorgeous pattern! The flannel backing is just perfect for a cozy autumn quilt!
ReplyDeleteWow, such a beautiful pattern...love the orange flannel backing!! I also had no idea you could cook white pumpkin. Go figure! 😄
ReplyDeleteThank you! My favorite white pumpkin is called Flat White Boer Ford. Just double check at your garden center or farmer's market to make sure you are buying edible pumpkins and not decorative gourds.
