Riley Blake Project Tour- Prim & FREE Sugar Cream Quilt Pattern

Image
Good Morning, Everyone!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Project Tour for Prim by Lori Holt.  Lori Holt is one of my favorite designers and I eagerly await all of her collections.  I was so excited to make this project using Prim.

Look at this pretty fabric!

I designed a new quilt using this beautiful line and it is a new FREE pattern of mine- called the Sugar Cream Quilt!!  Yay! I love sharing patterns with you all!

This is a fun one block quilt pattern that I am over the moon about!

I love all of the prints in Prim and I LOVE Lori's new shirtings, which I used as the background white in this quilt!  And, also, this Confetti Cotton Butterscotch backing 😍😍😍 I am so in love with this rich, beautiful color!
I quilted this with a free motion wavy flower with my Janome Continental M7.  The particular design was NOT quick at all πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ but it was totally worth it!  I love free motion quilting on the M7.  It is so enjoyable!

Disclosure- I work with Janome as one of their Janome …

Riley Blake Project Tour- A Classic Christmas

Image
Hi, Everyone!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Project Tour for A Classic Christmas by Riley Blake Designs.  This collection is made up of 4 larger panels (each sold separately) and one panel that has four pillow-sized images.  They are all beautiful, rich scenes that conjure up feelings of Christmas.

I decided to make a quilt and I chose the Milk & Cookies panel.  It is an absolutely beautiful panel and I was so excited when I received it.  This is what the panel looks like-

The panel measures 36" x 43 1/2".

I wanted to keep the borders relatively simple since I wanted the center panel so stand out.  I decided on surrounding it with pinwheels and two simple borders.

I'm so happy with how it turned out!  This Santa is gorgeous even after washing!

For the plaid borders, I used a plaid from Riley Blake called C8698-Multi.  To make the pinwheels, I used C8695-Forest and C5574-White.  For the binding, I used this gorgeous Pine Branch print called C8697-Black.

Riley Blake Project Tour- Beauty and the Beast

Good Morning!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Project Tour for Beauty and the Beast by Jill Howarth.  I love all of Jill Howarth's collections and this one is no different!

There is such a pretty range of colors in this collection and I love how they all interact with each other.

All of my children love Beauty and the Beast but when I saw this, I knew I would make a quilt for one of my girls.  Last year, she went with her school class to a play of Beauty and the Beast and she absolutely loved it.  So I knew this would be extra special for her.

I designed this pattern and I loved how it turned out!  I always have the intention of writing out a pattern but sometimes I just don't have the time to get it done and this was one of those times.  So, this may be a pattern in the future but maybe not also πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Here is the quilt I made-

In addition to the fabric from Beauty and the Beast, I added in some Riley Blake Basics for the quilt top. I used- Blossom in Aqua (C715-AQUA), …

Riley Blake Project Tour- Santa Claus Lane

Image
Hi, Everyone!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Project Tour for Santa Claus Lane by Melissa Mortenson.  Christmas is my absolute favorite and I am so excited for this fabric collection!

Look at how gorgeous these prints and colors!

I decided to make a quilt and a pillow with this beautiful fabric!

Here is the quilt I made.

There is no pattern but this quilts very simple.  I started with a 8" x 10" center rectangle and then I alternated 1" and 2" strips around the center rectangles.  My finished quilt is 64 1/2" x 66 1/2".

Then after the top was assembled, I appliquΓ©d the Santa face from the panel into the quilt.  I love this Santa face illustration-  Melissa did such an amazing job on this collection!

Another thing that was fun about making this quilt was that I practiced a different free motion quilting motif in each of the 2" borders and I free motion quilted the Santa face.

In addition to the fabric from Santa Claus Lane, I added in some Ril…
