Riley Blake Blog Tour- National Parks

Hi, Everyone!  Today is my turn on the Riley Blake Designs Blog Tour for National Parks by Anderson Design Group.  I've loved these beautiful, vibrant panels since I saw them.

I chose the Acadia National Park panel because it has special meaning.  My family and I went there in 2019 on a cruise.  We were only in the park for a few hours but it was very memorable.  Each of my children want to call this quilt their own because of the memories and meaning that it holds.

Because the panels are already so beautiful, you can choose to add as much or as little to it before quilting.  I want with adding a few borders that I thought coordinated nicely with the panel.

The panel measures 36" x 43 1/2".  Then I went on to add 4 borders- each measuring 2" finished.  My finished quilt measures 52" x 59 1/2".  Here are the details of the fabric that I used in this quilt.

For this quilt top, I used:
1 Acadia National Park panel (SKU P9480-ACADIA)
3/4 yard Confetti Cottons Vintage White (C120-VINTAGEWHITE)- I used this for Borders 1 and 4
1/2 yard Blossom in Vivid (C715-Vivid)- I used this for Border 3
4 yards Shabby in Jade (C605-Jade)- I used this for Border 2 and the backing)
1/2 yard Texture in Navy (VC610-NAVY)- I used this for the binding

For the batting, I used:
Warm & Plush by The Warm Company (you can see more on this batting HERE- I love this batting so much!)

I used my Janome Memory Craft 6700P to sew and quilt this quilt.

It was a really fun, fast quilt to make and I'd highly recommend using these panels!

Talk to you soon,

Jessica
