Moda Bake Shop 2018 Summer Camp- Choose Your Own Adventure

Last summer (2018), I had the best time designing a mystery quilt for Moda Bake Shop.  I was one of the designers along with 6 other Moda Bake Shop chefs.

We came together and designed a really amazing quilt along.  The quilt along was a mystery quilt along and we called it a Choose Your Own Adventure quilt.  We made a medallion quilt and every week during the quilt along we will released two patterns and you (the readers) we able to pick the one you liked the best to make in your own quilt!

Each week, we called the two patterns- Path A or Path B (plus the specific pattern name).  And, the way we designed it, we made it so that you could either choose Path A or Path B each week and the patterns were completely interchangeable.  For example, if you chose Path A for week 1, you could choose Path B for week 2...there was no need to stick with one Path, you could go back and forth as you pleased.  We also gave options for Cornerstones for each week (except the first one with was the center medallion and had no cornerstones).  You could chose to add the cornerstone option for each week or not and just stick with the blocks of whatever path you chose.  The whole quilt was (and still is) super fun to make!!

On Instagram, tag all of you posts #chooseyourownadventureqal #campodamay #mbsqal

This is still such a popular Moda Bake Shop pattern.  You can literally make this over and over and not get tired of it because of the variety in the blocks.

And, here are the paths that I took when I made my version of this quilt.

During the QAL, I used All Weather Friend by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics.

I am making this quilt again now as a gift.  I'll share progress pictures on Instagram as I have them and post the finished quilt here on my blog when its ready.  I also have plans to make a 3rd one!  I am going to make a Halloween version using All Hallows' Eve by Joanna Figueroa.  I'll be starting that one once this summer is over.  It is going to be amazing!!

Let me know if you have any questions!  And, make one of these quilts!! You will love the process and the end result :)

Talk to you soon,

Jessica
