Willow Quilt Along- Week 6
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the sixth week of the Willow Quilt Along! Can you believe we made it this far? We are really in the home stretch now.
Here's the schedule for you to reference-
Willow Quilt Along Schedule
Week 7- May 7th: Assemble the top
There is no sign up for the QAL. We will be sharing all of the information on our blogs and instagram accounts. You can follow us in both places so you don't miss anything.
Jessica- my blog is Jessica Dayon and my Instagram account is @jessicadayon
Amber- her blog is Gigi's Thimble and her Instagram account is @gigisthimble
Amber and I thought it would be fun to do a get-to-know-you question every week. This week the question is- do you listen or watch anything while you sew?
I'm betting I'm in the minority here but, in general, I sew in silence :) With 4 young children, my life is pretty much filled with noise every. single. second. 😂 So, when I sit down at my sewing machine, I'm typically looking to relax and I like it to be quiet. I let my mind wander and just enjoy the process of sewing without focusing on anything else. Occasionally, I'll put on a Christmas movie (and not just at Christmas- anytime during the year because I love Christmas movies) but more often than not, I don't listen or watch anything.
You can read Amber's post here! We'd love it if you would tell us about yourself in the comments on one of our blogs or on our Instagram post!
Onto the instructions for Week 6! This week we are cutting out all of the layout pieces (sashing, cornerstones, setting triangles, corner triangles, border...) and we are making our 24 cornerstone blocks.
You can find the pattern for this week- HERE.

Your little stars are so cute! And I've really enjoyed reading your answers to the get-to-know-you questions each week! I totally get wanting some quiet time. I was probably the same way when my kids were little.
